About Me

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

PhD-trained nutrition scientist.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Fellow of the National Academies of Practice.

I’ve had a diverse career path:

  • Clinical

  • Academia (hello, professor life đź‘‹)

  • Research and publishing

  • Corporate wellness

  • Private practice

  • Consultant

  • Commodity board

I’m deeply passionate about:

  • Making nutrition science usable—not just publishable

  • Bridging gaps between healthcare professionals

  • Elevating dietitians as essential voices in health

  • Exploring how culture, flavor, and real life shape what we eat

Because here’s the truth:
People don’t eat nutrients—they eat food, stories, traditions, and experiences.

After years in research and education, I kept asking the same question:

Why aren’t we telling these stories?

Dietitians and nutrition professionals are:

  • Leading innovation

  • Shaping policy

  • Driving research

  • Transforming patient care

…but most people never hear about it.

So I created Nutrition Connection—a space where science meets storytelling, and where careers, impact, and real conversations take center stage.

My Story

I’m a dietitian, researcher, storyteller—and someone who has never believed nutrition belongs in a box.

I’ve worked in hospitals, classrooms, boardrooms, and now behind the mic as the host of Nutrition Connection. Along the way, one thing became clear:
Nutrition is everywhere—but the people behind it are rarely seen.

This podcast is here to change that.
